gGuard®
Access in real time to a permanent monitoring of the fume hood network.
Until today, managing and monitoring a network of fume hoods has been difficult and time-consuming. But with the introduction of GFH® with Neutrodine® Technology and its unique gGuard communications system, laboratory managers and safety officers finally have a technology that gives them access to real-time status information and remote management capabilities.
 
Developed with Microsoft® technologies and embedded within every GFH® with Neutrodine® Technology, gGuard is designed to provide complete control through permanent monitoring.
The system, which sends automatic alerts, allows an administrator to check on the exact condition of a specific GFH® with Neutrodine® Technology in real time, whether it is being used individually or within a network.
  
 
 
 
                                     
 
gGuard® capabilities

The gGuard onboard computer monitors and controls the internal workings of the GFH® with Neutrodine® Technology, providing access to and status updates on:
  • Filter condition
  • Filter identification
  • Face velocity
  • Sash position
  • User identification
  • Blower motor speed
  • Filter saturation level
  • Ambient laboratory air
  • Enclosure temperature
  • Energy savings data
  • Usage time data
Every operational aspect above can be controlled remotely by a computer equipped with the gGuard network-monitoring software. This software has the ability to memorize the usage history of every GreenFumeHood and provide statistical information such as overall energy savings, safety data, laboratory air condition, usage behavior and frequency, filter change frequency or even service frequency for an entire network of enclosures.
 
  
 
 
A choice of monitoring techniques
For added convenience and flexibility, gGuard gives you two ways to monitor and control your GFH® enclosures with Neutrodine® Technology:
gGuard®Onsite (Pc or Pocket)
The network monitoring software that comes standard with GFH® Technologies, this package is pre-loaded onto the computer of a site manager or safety officer allowing them to ommunicate directly with their GFH® unit or network via Ethernet, local area network or Bluetooth®. For even more convenience, the system also allows any GFH® with Neutrodine® Technology to communicate with a PDA or cell phone.
gGuard®Online
An optional service with which Erlab and its Asura maintenance department communicates directly with your GFH® via the Internet to provide both monitoring and maintenance services.
